We are looking for an experienced Development Team Lead to lead a development team in the Life & Health Insurance domain.
This role includes both professional and people management responsibilities, leading end-to-end development processes, driving technological solutions, and aligning development activities with the organization’s business needs. The position reports to the Domain Manager.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a development team (approximately 5 developers), including mentoring, coaching, professional feedback, and technological decision-making
• Build and manage work plans, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery
• Drive technological solutions and modernization of existing systems
• Write technical specifications based on business requirements
• Collaborate closely with business users, project managers, development teams, and QA teams
• Lead development processes in an Agile / Scrum environment
• Contribute hands-on development when needed and perform code reviews
• Implement development methodologies and professional standards within the team
Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience managing a development team
• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience
• Experience in large enterprises or insurance companies – strong advantage
• Strong business understanding of Life & Health insurance products
Technologies
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Frontend development experience with React or Angular
• Experience working with databases
• Experience with advanced development technologies such as Microservices and Containers – advantage
