This role combines technical leadership, hands-on full-stack development, and system architecture, with a strong focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and backend microservices using Golang (Go) and TypeScript (Node.js).
• Architect cloud-native, distributed, and event-driven systems using AWS and Apache Kafka.
• Develop, test, and deploy reliable backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Design and maintain responsive frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Drive technical architecture, code quality, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, QA, and UI/UX teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure application security, data protection, performance, and scalability.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD processes, automated testing, and containerized deployments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications and production systems.
• Take ownership of technical delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Leadership & Experience

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, with a strong backend focus.
• 2+ years of experience as a Development Team Leader or Technical Lead.
• Proven ability to lead engineers while remaining actively involved in hands-on coding.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining scalable microservices and distributed systems.

Backend Development & Architecture

• Strong hands-on experience with Golang (Go) and TypeScript (Node.js) for backend microservices development.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and asynchronous messaging.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, system performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.

Frontend Development

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience developing responsive, maintainable, and high-performance web applications.

Cloud & DevOps

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong knowledge of Git, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.

Databases & Security

• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Deep understanding of web application security, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Experience with OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT.
• Understanding of secure development practices for distributed and cloud-native applications.

Education & Personal Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to balance technical leadership, hands-on development, and delivery responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FinTech, payment processing, banking, or high-volume transaction systems.
• Experience with distributed transactions, idempotency, Saga patterns, and eventual consistency.
• Experience with serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Next.js or Nuxt.js.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
