Product / System Engineer for the Development of Multidisciplinary Consumer Products
Role Objective:
Lead the development of a multidisciplinary product from concept to implementation of mass production.
Role Includes:
- Full ownership and leadership of product development
- Understanding the marketing and user requirements and define measurable values accordingly
- Finding the optimum solutions through the development stages to meet launch deadlines
- Supporting production lines both locally and abroad
Job Responsibilities:
- lead engineer within the product development core team
- Guiding software and electronics teams in selecting the correct architecture and configuration of the product
- Matrix management and leadership of multidisciplinary team members within the organization and with external suppliers, according to requirements, goals, and tasks
- Solving and analysis gaps between marketing requirements and technological capabilities while understanding user interface and consumer point of view
- Driving engineering solutions, resolving technological obstacles during development
- Performing analytical CBA (choose between alternatives)
- Writing system logic, state machines, flowcharts, and technical schematics for product specification
- Defining reliability tests throughout the development process
- Directing development teams toward cost-effective, manufacturable, and serviceable designs
- Managing risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Managing project knowledge throughout development stages and systematically transferring it to production support teams
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Electronics / Software Engineering
- M.Sc. an advantage (Systems, Software, Electronics)
- Board design, EMC/EMI, component selection, Embedded firmware development, closed loop control, sensing algorithms
- Proven experience in developing at least one multidisciplinary consumer product that completed all development stages and reached mass production
- Experience in high-tech or large companies
- Assertiveness, yet excellent interpersonal skills, service orientation and ability to collaborate across internal and external teams
