Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hardware and Firmware Engineer role based in Raanana. The Hardware and Firmware Engineer will design, develop, and validate embedded hardware and firmware for Dormotech’s sleep diagnostics devices. Day-to-day responsibilities include schematic design, component selection, and collaboration on PCB layout, as well as implementing, testing, and optimizing embedded software on ARM-based platforms. The engineer will debug and troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues, run lab tests, and document designs, test procedures, and results. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software, clinical, and product teams, to translate requirements into robust and compliant medical-device solutions and support product verification, validation, and regulatory submissions.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, including analog/digital circuit design, signal integrity, and experience with lab equipment
  • Proficiency in Embedded Software and Software Development for real-time and resource-constrained systems, including C/C++ and familiarity with embedded development environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ARM Architecture, including microcontroller configuration, peripheral integration, and low-level driver development.
  • Advanced Debugging skills for both hardware and firmware, including use of JTAG/SWD tools, in-circuit debuggers, and structured root-cause analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with medical devices, digital health and Wearables.
  • Familiarity with low-power design, wireless communication interfaces (e.g., BLE, Wi-Fi), and sensor integration is beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
