System Engineer (Hardware–Firmware–IoT)

About Us

At Treetoscope, we’re transforming agriculture through innovative technologies that enable precise water measurement and data-driven insights for farmers worldwide.

Our mission is to help growers use water more efficiently and sustainably — ensuring the future of global agriculture.

Role Summary

We are seeking an Integration / Systems Engineer to coordinate, define, and execute the integration of Treetoscope’s hardware–firmware–IoT systems.

This role bridges between product, hardware, and software teams, translating product requirements into clear technical definitions and system specifications.

You will synchronize work across disciplines, perform system validation and field testing, and ensure our products are robust, connected, and ready for large-scale deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Definition & Integration: Translate product requirements into technical specifications for hardware and firmware teams. Define system architecture, interfaces, and operational workflows.

  • Validation & Testing: Plan and execute integration and validation processes for hardware, firmware, and connectivity. Develop and run test plans to ensure system reliability and performance.

  • Hands-on Testing (Lab & Field): Perform and oversee lab and field testing to verify system functionality under real-world agricultural conditions.

  • IoT Connectivity & Portals: Manage IoT system portals — including device onboarding, fleet monitoring, connectivity, and data integrity.

  • Manufacturing & Operations Support: Collaborate with manufacturing and QA partners to validate system functionality, calibration, and product readiness before deployment.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to align design requirements, priorities, and timelines.

  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze field feedback and test results to optimize product design, firmware stability, and operational workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Computer, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent).

  • 7–10 years of experience in multidisciplinary electronic systems or hardware/software integration.

  • Proven ability to define and translate product requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams.

  • Experience in board-level design and system integration, including analog/digital circuits, LTE modules, and microcontrollers.

  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems and programming in C/C++ for STM32/Cortex-M architectures.

  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (preferably Altium Designer).

  • Understanding of IoT systems, connectivity, and communication interfaces — an advantage.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to collaborate effectively across R&D, QA, and operations teams.

  • Fluent in English (Hebrew – advantage).

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a mission-driven company shaping the future of sustainable agriculture.
  • Work at the intersection of technology, operations, and innovation.
  • Enjoy a hybrid and global work environment that values teamwork, autonomy, and purpose.
