CRYMBO builds financial infrastructure connecting banking, payments, and digital assets. Our platform brings together money movement, trading, liquidity, wallets, and blockchain services through a multi-tenant, API-driven architecture.

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology strategy, engineering organization, and next stage of platform development. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines deep technical judgment with the ability to build teams and deliver business outcomes.

Reporting to the CEO, you will partner closely with Product and lead experienced engineers with deep knowledge of the platform. You will have overall accountability for architecture, security, engineering performance, and technology investment, while giving the team clear ownership and room to grow.

Build the technical foundation for CRYMBO’s next stage: a clear roadmap, reliable financial infrastructure, and an engineering organization that delivers with speed and discipline. Lead the practical adoption of AI across development, internal workflows, and the product.

• Technology Strategy & Architecture: Define the technical roadmap in line with business priorities. Own architecture, build-versus-buy decisions, and technical debt, balancing scalability, resilience, cost, and time to market.
• Engineering Leadership: Hire, manage, and develop engineers. Establish clear responsibilities, mentor senior talent, and own capacity planning, technology budgets, and delivery accountability.
• Product & Business Partnership: Work with the CEO and Product to translate business needs into executable plans. Communicate trade-offs, dependencies, resource needs, and risks clearly.
• Hands-on Leadership: Stay close to the code and systems through design reviews, code reviews, and targeted implementation. Help resolve critical technical challenges while strengthening the team’s ability to execute independently.
• Security & Operational Resilience: Own secure development, access controls, tenant isolation, secrets management, and observability. Lead incident readiness, recovery planning, and remediation with security and compliance specialists as needed.
• Engineering Standards & Controls: Establish effective testing, CI/CD, release, and review practices. Track reliability, delivery performance, and infrastructure costs, and use the findings to drive improvements.
• AI Strategy & Execution: Lead AI adoption across engineering and internal operations, and deliver AI-enabled product capabilities with Product. Set standards for evaluation, data protection, human oversight, and cost control.

• A track record of leading engineering teams and owning architecture and delivery in a startup or growth-stage company. Relevant experience may include CTO, Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, or an equivalent role with broad technical and people responsibility.
• Strong hands-on expertise in TypeScript / Node.js and backend engineering, with experience designing multi-tenant platforms, distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous workflows.
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs, and webhooks, including reliable data flows and third-party integrations.
• Experience operating production systems on AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, with a solid understanding of infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and cloud costs.
• Experience building financial systems where transaction integrity, reconciliation, security, and recovery are critical.
• Practical knowledge of blockchain infrastructure, wallet operations, transaction lifecycles, and custody integrations.
• Demonstrated ability to turn business priorities into technical roadmaps, manage resources, and improve an existing platform without disrupting operations.
• Strong people leadership and executive communication. The ability to represent the technology with customers, partners, and investors, and support technical due diligence with clear, credible evidence.

You should bring practical experience deploying AI tools and capabilities, with evidence of adoption and measurable results:

• Sound judgment in selecting and applying large language models, coding assistants, AI agents, and automation tools.
• Experience embedding AI into engineering and internal workflows, including training, adoption, and measurement of productivity and quality.
• Experience integrating model APIs with existing data, tools, and systems.
• A working understanding of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context management, and tool calling.
• Experience taking AI capabilities into production, including evaluations, monitoring, access controls, failure handling, and cost management.

Experience with FIX connectivity, banking and payment integrations, trading and liquidity, MPC custody, or KYC/KYT integrations is a strong advantage.

We value depth in the core technologies and the ability to learn. We don’t expect prior experience with every tool in our stack.

You will have a direct role in shaping the company’s technology direction, working with the CEO, Product, and an experienced engineering team. The scope combines financial infrastructure, digital assets, and applied AI, with meaningful ownership of the architecture, team, and investment decisions that support growth.
