Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Team Lead to lead our development team building advanced, connected embedded systems. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical leadership with team management, owning architecture, driving code quality, and collaborating across hardware, QA, and product to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

You will also help modernize how the team works by embedding AI-assisted development practices (code generation, review, test automation, diagnostics) into daily engineering execution, and, where relevant, evaluating AI capabilities for the product roadmap itself.

Responsibilities

  • Champion AI-assisted engineering practices across the team: code assistants, automated test generation, log/defect analysis and measure their impact on velocity and quality
  • Evaluate opportunities for on-device AI capabilities where relevant to product roadmap, partnering with product and architecture stakeholders
  • Lead and mentor a team of Embedded Software Engineers
  • Own system architecture and drive technical decisions
  • Design, develop, and optimize software based on Embedded Linux
  • Oversee multi-process and networking system design
  • Collaborate with hardware, QA, and product teams for full system integration
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices and high-quality standards
  • Manage team execution, priorities, and delivery timelines

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering
  • Proven experience as a Team Lead / Engineering Manager - at least 3 years
  • 5 years of experience in Real-Time Embedded development
  • Strong proficiency in C and modern C++ (C++14 and above)
  • Practical experience integrating AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, agentic coding workflows) into daily engineering practice — code generation, review, debugging, test generation
  • Exposure to embedded/edge AI concepts (on-device inference, model optimization for constrained hardware, TinyML or equivalent) is a strong plus, even without production experience
  • Extensive experience with Embedded Linux, including kernel and drivers
  • Strong experience with multi-threading / multi-process systems
  • Experience with Python for automation and testing
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
