About the Role

The Missiles & Space Division is looking for a Hard RT Embedded Software Infrastructure Engineer.

The role includes:

• Development and maintenance of drivers and low-level system software components in C/C++.

• Implementation and maintenance of various communication protocols, such as UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, and more.

• Working in Hard Real-Time environments and Bare Metal systems, including in-depth understanding of operating systems such as FreeRTOS and VxWorks, as well as systems running without an OS.

• Analysis, writing, and execution of system requirements, including design and testing (unit, integration, and system).

• Real-time performance optimization, system integration, and integration of software and hardware components.

• Collaboration with System Engineers, Test Engineers, Hardware Engineers, FPGA Engineers, and Project Managers throughout the entire product lifecycle – from specification definition through integration at the customer site.

• Writing development documentation, including technical specifications, design documents, and test documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Exact Sciences – Mandatory.

• At least 3 years of experience in Hard Real-Time systems development – Mandatory.

• Proven experience in software development using FreeRTOS – Mandatory.

• High motivation, strong systems-level thinking, ability to work in a team, and excellent interpersonal skills – Mandatory.

• Experience working with hardware components, interfaces, and communication protocols – Significant Advantage.

• Experience in the development, integration, and testing of Real-Time Embedded systems – Advantage.

• Ability to independently lead the development of a system from defining requirements through final testing and implementation at the customer site – Advantage.

• Experience writing development documentation (specifications, design, and testing) – Advantage.

• Understanding of Low-Level software layers, including direct hardware access, operating system integration, and development of application APIs for access to hardware and system services – Advantage.
