- Provide technical guidance, perform code reviews, and act as the go-to person for complex technical challenges
- Facilitate team collaboration and ensure clear communication across the R&D organization
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning
Technical Ownership (Hands-on)
- Remain deeply involved in hands-on design, architecture, and coding (approx. 50% coding/design work)
- Design and implement robust embedded software for real-time systems, focusing on performance, scalability, and safety
- Ensure best practices in coding standards, unit testing, and CI/CD integration
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components (SoCs, MCUs, sensors, etc.)
Execution & Delivery
- Own the delivery of specific embedded modules, from design to production
- Translate product requirements into actionable technical tasks and roadmaps
- Drive engineering processes to increase efficiency and code quality
- Work closely with customers and Tier-1 partners on technical requirements, escalations, and delivery commitments
- Stay updated with industry trends in embedded systems and automotive tech to continuously improve our stack
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems and C/C++ development
- Proven leadership experience: at least 2-3 years leading a small to medium-sized engineering team (technical mentorship and people management)
- Deep technical expertise in:
- Embedded Linux/RTOS environments
- Real-time signal processing and memory management
- Developing for heterogeneous architectures (CPU, GPU, MCU)
- Familiarity with software architecture principles and Git-based development workflows
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and product needs
- Mindset: "Startup-ready"—flexible, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Advantage: Experience in the automotive industry (ASPICE, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262) or AI-acceleration software
