Your role will include:

Developing tools and methodologies for teaching Data Science in the fields of biology and medicine.

Building advanced exercises and lesson plans in computational research methods and applied statistics, with an emphasis on clinical and biological data.

Guiding students in building and validating complex models, while imparting tools for code review and model performance evaluation in the age of AI.

Accompanying and mentoring the department's teaching staff and teaching assistants.

Integrating advanced algorithms and tools for data analysis and modeling, such as: Machine Learning & Deep Learning

Single cell RNA-Seq / ATAC-Seq / ChIP-Seq / GWAS

Skills and abilities:

Mandatory Requirements:

Education: Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Biology, or a related scientific field – required; Ph.D. is an advantage.

Experience: At least two years of practical work experience as a Data Scientist in data analysis, and in using or developing Machine Learning models, in industry or in a computational lab.

Experience developing in Python and working with relevant Data Science libraries (such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy).

Familiarity and hands-on experience using modern AI tools.

Languages: Native-level Hebrew and English.

Advantage:

Prior experience in teaching, academic tutoring, or developing and designing learning/training materials.
