We are building the next generation of customer engagement solutions and are looking for a highly experienced Engineering Team Lead to help drive our product vision and execution.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Engineering Team Lead to lead a team of software engineers while actively contributing to architecture, development, code reviews, technical strategy, and product delivery.

This role requires a strong technical leader who combines deep software engineering expertise with leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will mentor developers, drive engineering excellence, improve development processes, and collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Executive Management.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges while remaining actively involved in coding and system design.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
• Drive software architecture and technical decision-making.
• Promote scalable, maintainable, and secure software development practices.
• Ensure high code quality and system reliability.
  
  

Software Development

• Remain actively involved in software development and coding.
• Design and implement complex backend and frontend solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning and technical estimations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support critical releases.
• Optimize system performance and scalability.
  
  

Architecture & Innovation

• Contribute to long-term platform architecture.
• Design scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and frameworks.
• Support AI and automation initiatives across the platform.
  
  

Team Management

• Manage daily activities of developers.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture.
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to improve delivery quality.
• Participate in customer-facing discussions when technical expertise is required.
  
  

Required Technical Skills

Backend

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of database design and optimization.
  
  

Frontend

• Strong React.js experience.
• Experience with modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Understanding of frontend architecture and UI performance optimization.
  
  

Databases

• MySQL
• MongoDB
• Query optimization and scalability best practices.
  
  

Cloud & Infrastructure

• AWS and/or DigitalOcean.
• Docker and containerized deployments.
• CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  
  

Strong Advantage - experience with:

Leadership Requirements

• Previous experience leading development teams.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience working in SaaS environments.
• Experience scaling production systems serving international customers.
