About the Company
For our site in Rosh Ha'Ayin, we are seeking a Hardware Team Lead to join FUSE, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems that integrates autonomous robotics, intelligent sensing, and mission systems under one agile organization.
About the Role
In this leadership position, you will own the full hardware lifecycle, from architecture and design through bring-up, validation, certification, and production support, and play a key role in shaping next-generation defense-grade autonomous products.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary hardware team of approximately five engineers, including planning, prioritization, mentorship, reviews, and hiring.
- Own end-to-end hardware delivery: system and board architecture, PCB development, bring-up, debugging, validation, and transition to mass production.
- Ensure reliability and robustness of deployed systems through structured root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and design improvements.
- Collaborate with Integration, Mechanical, Manufacturing/EMS, Quality, Supply Chain, NPI, and PM teams to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
- Manage engineering change processes, BOM control, alternate part strategies, and cost/availability trade-offs at scale.
- Drive compliance readiness for MIL-STD, CE/FCC, and SAR standards, including lab coordination and issue mitigation.
- Define and scale hardware test infrastructure, align requirements, and ensure execution of the ATE strategy.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years’ experience managing teams of 5+ engineers, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in board design.
- Hands-on experience in PCB design, bring-up, and debugging.
- Proven ownership of transition from R&D to mass production, including DFM/DFT considerations, production support, and yield-quality focus.
- Experience working within regulated and qualification-driven environments such as MIL-STD, CE/FCC, SAR, and collaboration with external labs.
- Relevant expertise in one or more domains: low-power sensing (including seismic), radar, RF measurement, MCU/SoC & mixed-signal embedded design, high-reliability high-volume production.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize and drive delivery with minimal oversight.
Required Skills
- Experience in drones, robotics, navigation systems, or autonomous platforms.
- Background in RF (layout, EMI mitigation, lab troubleshooting) – advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer or equivalent CAD tools.
- Knowledge of low-power sensing systems and/or radar subsystems – advantage.
