We're building the AI-native solution behind how the world hires - and we're looking for the engineer to lead the R&D behind it.
What you'll own:
The full R&D surface - architecture, engineering standards, delivery, and execution - owning the balance between shipping speed and technical quality.
Evolving a live product: driving meaningful improvements to architecture, flows, and priorities while keeping active customers shipping and stable.
Building and growing the team - shaping structure, developing people, and recruiting strong talent.
Partnering with the founders to translate vision into execution, without waiting for perfect specs.
What we're looking for:
10+ years in software development and engineering leadership, including at least 5 years in a formal management role.
A seasoned builder who's comfortable staying hands-on (~50%) at this stage.
Experience at both a mature product company and an early-stage startup.
Proven B2B SaaS track record: built a product from 0→market, or led a deep modernization of a live system that couldn't go down.
A VP who: sources talent, runs strong technical interviews, and closes great candidates.
Owns production end-to-end: uptime, incident response, customer commitments.
Operator mindset - translates strategy into execution and builds process where none exists, without over-engineering for the stage.
Stack:
Python microservices, Pub/Sub, Postgres, BigQuery, GCP, Next.js frontend, and LLM-native infrastructure (RAG pipelines, prompt-execution frameworks, LLM gateways).
