What's Addressable?
Addressable is a Web3 growth SaaS company that operates at the intersection of advertising and blockchain. Our platform helps marketers reach the right audiences by combining on-chain data, social signals, and behavioral intelligence. We enable teams to build targeted audiences, launch effective campaigns, and measure performance across channels.
So, what's the job?
We're looking for a
Senior Data Analyst to join our R&D team and own the
advertising data investigation work that powers our platform's targeting and classification capabilities.
You'll work with billions of data points across blockchain, social, and behavioral sources - understanding how users behave across different environments, identifying the signals that matter, and translating your findings into classification logic, scoring rules, and algorithms that the platform acts on. Your work directly determines how we identify and reach the right users.
This is a full-cycle research role: from hypothesis and experimentation to production validation. The data is messy, the questions are open-ended, and the answers aren't obvious. You'll use SQL and Python as your primary research instruments, alongside modern AI tools (LLMs like Claude, Gemini, etc.) as core parts of your daily workflow - for data exploration, pattern recognition, classification, and accelerating analysis.
You will:
- Own the investigation of large-scale datasets from diverse sources - identify behavioral patterns, surface meaningful signals, and determine what matters
- Define hypotheses about why certain behaviors occur, design experiments to test them, and iterate based on results
- Design and own classification logic, scoring rules, and segmentation approaches using SQL, Python, and AI-assisted tooling
- Use LLMs and AI tools as core parts of your workflow - for data exploration, classification, labeling, and enrichment
- Evaluate new data sources and determine whether they improve classification quality and accuracy
- Drive the translation of your findings into production-ready rules and algorithms, working closely with researchers and engineers
Requirements:
Sounds great! Am I the right fit?
You'll likely be a strong fit if you have:
- ~5 years of experience in data analysis, research, or a related analytical role
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets (Spark, Athena, BigQuery, or similar)
- Proficiency in Python for data exploration, scripting, and automation
- A hypothesis-driven mindset with strong statistical thinking - you naturally ask “why is this happening?”, design experiments to find out, and know when a result is meaningful vs. noise
- Comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) to enhance and accelerate your analytical work
- Curiosity and a self-driven approach to research - you work independently, structure your own approach to ambiguous problems, and drive work forward without waiting for direction
- Interest in or familiarity with ad tech, programmatic advertising, or audience targeting
Strongest candidates will have:
- Experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, or performance marketing
- Familiarity with audience targeting, attribution, behavioral data, or identity resolution
- Experience with DSPs, DMPs, ad exchanges, or related programmatic infrastructure
- Experience building rules, scoring logic, or classification systems that a product or platform acts on - not just analysis that people read
- Experience using LLMs for data classification, labeling, or enrichment tasks at scale
What Success Looks Like
The classification logic and rules you build are validated against real outcomes and adopted into production.
You test hypotheses systematically, explain what worked and why, and shape the research agenda - not just execute on it.
Researchers and engineers trust your findings and build on them.
