Matrix is hiring for a visionary Technology Leader to lead our Platform Engineering team in a major financial organization, combining people management with driving technological innovation across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy – Lead a team of skilled engineers, define the platform roadmap, and execute it successfully.
• Driving Innovation – Identify breakthrough technologies, lead POCs, and implement innovative solutions, with a focus on Generative AI as part of the organization’s core operations.
• Leading Change – Drive both technological and organizational transformation, collaborating across departments and removing obstacles.
• Architecture & Hands-on – Guide the architecture of complex platform solutions while maintaining the ability to contribute hands-on when needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a technical team (DevOps/Platform).
• Cloud Production Expertise – Proven experience with complex cloud production environments (high scale, high availability, mission-critical systems).
• Automation & Coding – Strong proficiency in DevOps tools and coding skills (Java, Python).
• Proven Innovation – Demonstrated ability to lead tech projects from scratch with creativity, initiative, and boundary-pushing solutions.
• Autonomy & Initiative – Self-driven, fast learner, capable of managing complex tasks independently.
