Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a GCP Data Platform Manager

Role Overview:

Lead the design, setup and implementation of the organization’s cloud data platform on GCP, from architecture through production. The role combines project leadership with hands-on work in data engineering and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the GCP data platform project end-to-end
• Manage planning, timelines, budget and delivery progress
• Coordinate between infrastructure, BI, security, core systems and procurement teams
• Manage vendors and contracts
• Build and configure GCP resources and perform POCs
• Troubleshoot issues and support testing processes
• Develop initial data components such as Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery datasets and pipelines
• Design and implement the target data architecture

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience managing technology-driven data products – required
• Hands-on experience in development, infrastructure, engineering or data – required
• Experience working with cloud environments and AI-related solutions – required
• Deep understanding of data domains including Data Modeling, ELT / ETL and databases
