Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a DBA

Role Overview:

Full responsibility for enterprise databases in a large-scale environment, including setup, maintenance, upgrades, performance optimization and migration of data warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize MSSQL, Vertica (On-Prem) and BigQuery (GCP) environments
• Performance tuning: Indexing, Execution Plans, query optimization and troubleshooting
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (T-SQL, PL/SQL, Vertica, PowerShell)
• Work with CDC and replication tools
• Handle complex production issues and ensure system stability
• Design and implement DR and High Availability solutions

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a DBA
• 2+ years of team management experience
• Strong experience with large databases and complex queries
• Proven hands-on performance tuning experience
• Strong scripting skills in T-SQL and/or PL/SQL
• Experience with Vertica and/or BigQuery – advantage
