Department Overview

Hardware development: digital design and verification including schematics and layout. Join our team as a Digital Hardware Engineer!

Job Description

What you will do?

  • Design computer technology, instrumentation, communications devices, semiconductor devices, solid state devices and other electronic systems using an understanding of circuit theory and electrical or electronic engineering.
  • Design test systems for components and devices designed using electronic engineering techniques.
  • Collaborate with line engineers in other disciplines either on product design or manufacturing of electronic components.

Basic Requirements

Education

  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).

Technical Skills

  • Circuit Design: Extensive experience in the planning, design, and development of electronic circuits (Analog, Digital, and Mixed-Signal).
  • PCB Design: Proficiency in schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout using tools like Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics.
  • Simulation: Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., PSPICE, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Embedded Systems: Knowledge of microcontrollers and standard communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe).

Hands-on & Lab Work

  • Testing & Debugging: Hands-on experience with board bring-up, troubleshooting, and using lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers).
  • Power Management: Experience with power supply design (DC-DC converters, LDOs).

Documentation & Standards

  • Standards: Familiarity with industry standards (EMI/EMC compliance, safety standards).
  • Documentation: Ability to create clear technical documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing files.
