As a Chip Design Engineer, you'll take ownership of complex hardware blocks and drive their design from specification through production, contributing to the hardware that powers Amazon Web Services - the world's most reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud platform, in an era where AI is driving unprecedented demand for compute, networking, and silicon innovation.

Key job responsibilities
- Own microarchitecture definition and implement logic blocks and data paths
- RTL coding and debug using SystemVerilog, industry-standard tools, and AI-assisted development flows
- Drive synthesis, timing analysis, and timing-closure activities to achieve high-performance, timing-clean designs
- Participate in design reviews, sign-off processes, and tapeout preparation
- Partner with Verification and Emulation teams on test plans, coverage reviews, and debug
- Ensure quality and reliability validation
- Cross-functional collaboration with Product Definition, Verification, Software, and Physical Design teams
Basic Qualifications
- BSc in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science
- Hands-on experience in microarchitecture and RTL design (Verilog / SystemVerilog)
- Fluent English
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of scripting languages including Python and Tcl
- Experience collaborating with Verification teams
- Familiarity with industry-standard protocols such as AXI, PCIe, Networking, Encryption, or Storage
- Experience across the end-to-end chip development lifecycle, from design through validation and production
- Familiarity with UVM-based verification environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
