Description

We are looking for a Mid-level Data Engineer to join our growing Data/MLOps team. The team is focused on building a Data/MLOps infrastructure to support the development of ML and AI algorithms for our next generation iTero scanners. The position is suited for engineers who like to work with data, build data infrastructure and wish to support algorithm engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own significant components in a data infrastructure for AI/Algorithm development.
• Work with large image/3D datasets to support the development of real-life ML/AI solutions.
• Work with ML / AI engineers to identify future challenges and solutions.
• Own the quality of data ingestion pipelines over time.
• Consistently demonstrate innovative thinking, strong partnership and high work ethics.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• BSc or similar degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience as a data engineer in a cloud environment.
• 5 years Experience working with large datasets of images / videos / 3D models.
• Cloud development experience, preferably AWS.
• Solid programming skills with Python.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-moving environment.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written.
  
  

The following would make you stand out …

• Working experience with big data systems using e.g. SQL to analyze data.
• Working knowledge in, at least one of the following, Spark, AWS Batch, AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate.
• Working knowledge in C/C++
• Industrial experience developing image / video applications.
• Working experience with 3D geometry processing / computer graphics.
