HumanTouch Surgical (continuing Human Xtensions) develops next-generation robotic solutions for minimally invasive surgery. We’re looking for an experienced Embedded SW & HW Team Leader to lead delivery of the embedded domain for our robotic platform, reporting to the VP R&D.

Location: Netanya (Hybrid, 4 days onsite)

What you’ll do

  • Own end-to-end delivery of embedded software, firmware, and hardware: architecture → design → implementation → integration/testing → production release.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in embedded software architecture, implementation, reviews, and validation infrastructure.
  • Lead HW development and SW↔HW integration, including oversight of internal HW engineers and external contractors/design houses.
  • Own embedded SDLC practices and documentation to support regulated development (requirements, traceability, verification evidence, change control).
  • Lead execution through planning, tracking, hiring, mentoring, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.

Must have

  • BSc+ in EE/CS (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years embedded development with strong C/C++ expertise (multi-threaded / layered / OO).
  • 3+ years leading an embedded team and owning delivery of full products or major subsystems.
  • Bare-metal + RTOS experience; deep debugging skills (incl. lab tools).
  • HW-facing capabilities: interfaces/peripherals, schematic comprehension, and SW/HW bring-up mindset.
  • Electro-mechanical systems experience (robotics, sensors, closed-loop motor control).
  • Strong record of delivery in a regulated environment (medical device strongly preferred).
  • Strong team player, excellent communicator, and proven people leader.

Nice to have

  • Embedded architecture ownership; ARM Cortex; FreeRTOS/RTX; Keil toolchain.
  • Python/automation; CI/CD and automated testing for embedded.
  • Wireless (BT/NFC), Jira & Agile methodology.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., coding, test generation, documentation, code review) with good judgment for correctness and regulated expectations.
