We are seeking an Algorithm Engineer (4-5 years of experience) to join our HW Department. The role focuses on the design, development, and optimization of advanced image processing algorithms integrated into hardware systems. The ideal candidate combines strong theoretical foundations with hands-on implementation capabilities in real-time environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize image processing algorithms - Hands-on position.
- Write algorithm specifications and calibration procedures.
- Define validation metrics and pass/fail criteria
- Define test protocols for lab and production.
- Maintain version control of models and tools.
- Design and execute image sensor characterization and calibration experiments
- Develop in Python and MATLAB in production-grade.
- Implement and deploy algorithms on embedded and hardware-constrained systems
- Collaborate closely with Hardware and data team engineers to define processing architecture and system interfaces.
- Optimize performance under constraints of memory, latency, compute power, and energy consumption.
- Support sensor production bring-up and design factory calibration flows for mass production.
- Perform large-scale dataset analysis.
- Support yield analysis and production ramp.
- Perform corner-case analysis.
- Investigate failures.
- Define next-generation sensor evaluation methodology.
- Contribute to the architecture of the next-generation sensor.
Requirements:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of industry experience in algorithm development with a focus on image processing at start-up environments.
- Strong programming skills in Python and MATLAB
- Hands-on experience working with HW and real-time systems.
- Solid understanding of image acquisition pipelines, sensor data processing, calibration, and signal conditioning.
- Background in Optics (imaging systems) - advantage
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams.
