We are looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA to take full ownership of our database environment (on-prem & Azure).

This is a hands-on, independent role responsible for infrastructure, high availability, performance optimization, and upcoming modernization initiatives, including major SQL Server version upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server infrastructure include requirements gathering, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
• Design and maintain HA/DR solutions (Always On, WSFC, Replication)
• Advanced performance tuning: query optimization, indexing, wait stats, execution plans
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation
• Database security, backup/recovery, and compliance
• Collaborate with development and IT teams on deployments and troubleshooting

Required Experience

• 5+ years as SQL Server DBA in production-critical environments
• Hands-on expertise with Always On Availability Groups, WSFC, and Replication
• Advanced performance tuning and SQL Server internals knowledge
• Strong T-SQL skills and experience with Azure SQL services
• SQL Server version upgrades and migrations
• Ability to work independently with strong accountability
