We are looking for an experienced Software Configuration Management (SCM) to take ownership of software configuration activities throughout the full software development lifecycle.

The SCM will be responsible for managing software configuration across development, testing, and release phases. The role involves close collaboration with development teams, QA, and system engineering, using version control and automation tools to ensure code integrity, consistency, and efficiency across development, test, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Software Configuration Management (SCM) activities in multi-component projects

Control source code versions and change management processes

Own release processes, baselines, version freezes, and rollbacks

Work with version control tools such as ClearCase, Azure DevOps, SVN

Develop and maintain scripts and automation for build and release processes

Maintain configuration documentation and manage BOMs (Bill of Materials)

Ensure consistency between development, test, and production environments

Support and guide system and software engineers on configuration and engineering data management topics

Continuously improve SCM processes, standards, and best practices

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM)

Hands-on experience with at least one of the following tools: ClearCase / Azure DevOps / SVN

Solid understanding of software development, testing, and release processes

Experience with scripting and automation

Experience working with complex, multi-version systems

High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
