Somatix is a remote patient monitoring software platform.

We analyze real-time data received from standard wearables for detecting hand gestures (smoking, drinking,medication) and activities (walking, sleeping, falling).

Then we fuse together additional data sources and search for actionable insights, to enhance the user’s wellbeing.

The insights notify the caretaker staff regarding deterioration in a patient’s physical or mental condition.

We aim our efforts towards elderly-care, hospital outpatients and addictions-control. Our

customers are elderly nursing homes, hospitals, health insurance companies and clinics.

Somatix is looking for a Data Science & Algo Team Manager to augment and lead our Data

Science & Algo team.

Our focus is on detecting complex gestures (eating, drinking smoking etc.) and activities

(falling, sleeping) by using sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope etc…) raw data from wearable

devices and state-of-the-art machine learning techniques. We utilize this information to

derive insights regarding the patients’ physical and mental condition.

This position will be responsible for:

• Lead the Data Science & Algo team

• Hands-on feature engineering (Python) – 50%

• Hands-on development of ML algorithms (Python)

• Develop ML infrastructure (Python)

• Collaboration with cross-function on roadmap and delivery

• Generate the team roadmap to improve existing and develop the new algorithms

• Identify and adopt new and advanced tools for algo and machine-learning

• Initiate and Lead data collection pilots

• Report to the VP R&D

Requirements:

• Relevant MSc or PhD

• 6+ years of experience as a data scientist

• 3+ years of experience leading a data-scientists team

• Must have extensive experience programming in Python

• Must have excellent programming skills (object oriented)

• Must have experience in a startup environment

• HW/FW Domains knowledge - advantage
