This Data Engineering Team Leader role involves leading a team of Data Engineers dedicated to developing and optimizing a mission-critical data platform for our healthcare clients. The team’s core mission is to manage high-scale data processes, leveraging advanced technologies to deliver vital security products. This position requires hands-on expertise alongside strong technical and people leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and directly manage the Data Engineering team, including formal oversight of professional development and defining technical priorities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and architecture capable of reliably handling up to 500,000 requests per second across the platform.
  • Drive technology adoption and methodology using tools like ClickHouse and Quickwit to evolve security products (NDR/PRM) and manage technical debt.
  • Own the complete feature lifecycle, from initial design and production deployment to continuous monitoring and post-launch optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience directly leading a technical team (Team Leader/Manager) of engineers/developers.
  • 7+ years of professional backend development experience, demonstrating proficiency in Python.
  • Expertise in architecting and deploying scalable SaaS systems within cloud technology environments.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing streaming or data-warehouse solutions for processing large-scale datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional background in the cybersecurity domain or with IOT/IOMT systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with high-performance data technologies such as ClickHouse or Quickwit.
  • Hands-on experience with core stack components, including PostgreSQL, Redis, or Dagster.
  • Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ) for asynchronous processing in a distributed system.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion across cross-functional teams.
  • Expert command of database design principles for optimizing large-scale production datasets.
