We’re looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead our Consumer Applications domain, owning OTT and Coaching Analytics across web and mobile platforms.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of consumer experience, engineering leadership, and business. You’ll lead multiple multidisciplinary teams, stay close to the technology, and shape a cohesive end-to-end product with a strong
frontend-first, UX-driven bar- while challenging architectural decisions and partnering closely with Product and Design.
You’ll join a strong R&D leadership team driving an AI-first transformation, and lead teams that ship with high standards, clear ownership, and relentless focus on what users actually feel.
As Part Of Your Role, You Will
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for OTT, Monetization, and Coaching Analytics platforms serving millions globally.
- Partner closely with Product and Design to align technical priorities with user and business needs.
- Lead 2–4 multidisciplinary engineering teams (web, mobile, backend), managing managers while staying hands-on when needed.
- Architect and evolve full-stack solutions that handle live video and consumer-scale workloads, with clear ownership over frontend quality and user experience.
- Review designs and code, mentor engineers, and jump into implementation or POCs when required.
- Balance innovation with pragmatism - ship fast, measure impact, and iterate based on real user behavior.
- Foster a culture of ownership, autonomy, and high engineering standards during an ongoing transformation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 4+ years leading multiple engineering teams (manager of managers).
- Strong background in consumer-facing applications, with a clear frontend and UX orientation (Web and Mobile).
- Proven experience leading teams that shipped end-to-end consumer products - from development to production and app store deployment.
- Full-stack background with a strong frontend orientation, plus solid understanding of backend systems, AWS, DevOps, and real-time video processing.
- Ability to challenge architectural decisions, evolve systems, and lead technical direction.
- Hands-on leadership approach - comfortable reviewing designs and code, mentoring engineers, and jumping into implementation or POCs when needed.
- Strong UX instincts with attention to performance - fast load times, smooth interactions, and a polished user experience.
- Strong product intuition and collaboration skills - focused on solving real user problems and translating them into clear technical priorities with Product and Design.
- Experience working in SaaS / Web-based companies.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Entrepreneurial background or experience building products from scratch.
- Strong AI-first or spec-driven development mindset.
- Experience leading hybrid or distributed teams.
- Passion for sports or experience in sports media / video platforms.
