Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join our hardware team and lead the design and implementation of high-performance FPGA systems for next-generation defense and navigation platforms. The role involves end-to-end ownership of FPGA development — from concept and architecture to verification and system integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead FPGA design and implementation using Xilinx FPGAs and the Vivado development platform
- Define FPGA architecture, timing, and resource trade-offs
- Implement and integrate high-speed interfaces including Ethernet, DDR, and JESD204B
- Collaborate with system, hardware, and software teams to integrate FPGA modules into complex navigation systems
- Support lab bring-up, testing, and debugging of FPGA-based designs
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on FPGA design and verification experience
- Proven experience with Xilinx / Vivado toolchains
- Strong background in Ethernet, DDR, JESD204B, ADC interfaces, and high-speed digital design
- Excellent understanding of timing closure, synthesis, and FPGA optimization techniques
- Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and lead technical efforts in a multidisciplinary environment
- Eligibility for security clearance – an advantage
