Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Senior Physical Layer Algorithm Engineer to join our highly skilled algorithm team, which is responsible for developing and optimizing all of Gilat's modem algorithms and architecture.

What You Will Do

  • Research, design, and implement new satellite modem modules and algorithms, such as channel estimation and correction
  • AGC
  • Spread spectrum
  • Innovate new ways to exploit the satellite channel better
  • Design for implementation. Optimize the algorithm and reduce complexity to enable realization
  • Work with system, software, and FPGA engineers to bring your ideas into reality
  • Test the algorithm's performance in the lab and be part of the integration effort.
  • Being part of a highly innovative team and working with top professionals in the industry.

Requirements

  • Electronics engineer B.Sc.– a must, M.Sc./P.hd – an advantage
  • Experience of 3+ years in simulations of communication algorithms in MATLAB/Python
  • Signal processing familiarity – a must
  • Knowledge in MATLAB– a must
  • Familiarity with 5G - an advantage
  • Familiar with Digital HW (DMA/Interrupts/FPGA/serdes)
  • Team player with good interpersonal relationships
  • Innovative and an initiator
  • Highly proficient in English
