Position Overview

Way2VAT is on the lookout for an exceptional Backend Developerto join our innovative technology team! If you’re a passionate and highly skilled developer with expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend systems, we want to hear from you. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our development efforts, helping to shape the future of our products while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership & Initiative: Take ownership of projects with a "doer" mentality, demonstrating self-drive to research, develop, and implement effective solutions.
• API Development: Lead the design and implementation of robust APIs, managing database and caching mechanisms within a microservices architecture for optimal performance.
• Feature Development Lifecycle: Oversee the complete lifecycle of features—from ideation and planning to development and testing—ensuring timely delivery and high quality in production.
• Cloud Environment Management: Spearhead the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of features within cloud environments (AWS), guaranteeing high availability, scalability, and performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3-4 years of hands-on backend development experience, at least 2 in NodeJS.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and frameworks like Express and NestJS.
• Cloud Infra - Experienced working with cloud providers (AWS is a plus), familiar with SQS, and S3.
• CI/CD Pipeline Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools for automated setup and deployment (CircleCI experience is a plus).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and deliver effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently.
• Bonus Skills: Knowledge of GraphQL, Docker, AWS services(RDS, SQS), MongoDB, and Docker Compose.
