We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Tel Aviv. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance health and longevity. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the server-side of our web applications, designing scalable backend architectures, and ensuring seamless integration with user-facing elements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the server-side architecture of our web applications using Flask or FastAPI
• Build and optimize robust, scalable, and secure APIs for seamless front-end and third-party integrations
• Develop and manage relational database schemas and queries using MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Implement containerized applications using Docker and manage deployments on AWS infrastructure
• Create scalable and maintainable backend solutions to support data-driven applications
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of backend systems through rigorous testing and best practices

Required Skills

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development
• Proficiency in Python with experience in Flask or FastAPI frameworks
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases
• Proficiency with Docker for containerization
• Hands-on experience with core AWS web-enabling technologies
• Experience with core AWS web-enabling technologies
• Proven experience designing and implementing server-side architectures for web applications
• Expertise in building secure, scalable, and efficient RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and DevOps practices
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
• Good level of English

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• Knowledge of additional AWS tools or services beyond the core
• Experience in writing highly secure web applications, following industry best practices
