We are seeking a talented SW Applications Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Operations team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Research and Development (R&D) and Production, ensuring a smooth transition of engineering change orders (ECOs) and providing ongoing support to the manufacturing process.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

ECO Management:

  • Review and Analysis: Thoroughly review ECOs from R&D, assessing their impact on software components and identifying potential risks.
  • Software Adaptation: Modify and update software components as required to accommodate ECO changes, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing to verify the correctness and reliability of software changes, minimizing the risk of defects.
  • Documentation Update: Update software documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals, to reflect ECO changes.

Manufacturing Support:

  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, addressing software-related issues and troubleshooting problems.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve software-related defects and failures identified during manufacturing, minimizing production downtime.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize software Infrastructure with DevOps and delivery processes, reducing costs and improving product quality.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient problem-solving.

Requirements:

  • English - Fluent Must
  • Ability to work from time to time during US time zone
  • Proficiency with Linux based systems
  • Familiar with embedded systems programming languages (C, C++) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Agile).
  • Solid understanding of hardware-software integration and debugging techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with software configuration management and version control.
