We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Science Team Lead to inspire and guide our data science team. In this role, You will guide a talented team of data scientists in researching, designing, implementing, and optimizing data-driven solutions, while ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role demands a strong background in NLP, hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like generative AI, and expertise in transitioning research into production. It also requires strong leadership skills, mentoring capabilities, driving innovation, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results in a timely manner. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance and support to foster their growth and success. 
  • Oversee the full data science lifecycle, including problem definition, data collection, model development, evaluation, and deployment. 
  • Design, develop, and optimize cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning algorithms, with a primary focus on NLP, as well as additional domains such as audio, computer vision, and classic ML. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, DevOps, and product management, to identify data-driven opportunities and deliver impactful solutions. 
  • Effectively communicate complex data science concepts, methodologies, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation within the data science team. 
  • Define and manage project goals, timelines, deliverables, and resources to align with organizational priorities. 
  • Drive the adoption and improvement of advanced data science methodologies, tools, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience as a data scientist, including at least 2 years in a team management role
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience using HuggingFace libraries such as Transformers, Datasets, Peft, etc or similar NLP libraries. 
  • Extensive experience working with large language models (LLMs) and transformer-based models like GPT, BERT, and similar architectures. 
  • Hands-on expertise in developing deep learning algorithms using PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Solid experience with unsupervised learning techniques, including clustering, anomaly detection, and other advanced methods. 
  • Experience working with various databases and technologies for managing and querying large datasets. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. 


Preferred Skills: 

  • Knowledge in other AI domains, such as computer vision and audio
  • Experience working with microservices, Kubernetes (K8S), and Docker for deploying machine learning models in scalable production environments.
