About The Role
We are looking for a senior AI researcher to join our core AI team, which is building the core engine that empowers our product. This is a pivotal time to join as we are rapidly growing and addressing a major need for automation in a highly complex and high-impact domain. What You’ll Do
- Use state of the art cutting-edge computer vision algorithms that significantly enhance the performance and functionality of our product, directly impacting its competitiveness and value proposition in the market.
- Develop state-of-the-art proprietary multimodal ai models (VLMs) as part of hard coded and agentic workflows that process and integrate diverse data sources—including satellite imagery, web-sourced images, textual documents, and structured tabular data—to emulate the complex decision-making process of professional underwriters assessing risk.
- Own data science projects end-to-end: from project specifications, data collection, sanitizing, and preprocessing through model training and development, all the way to deploying models to production and performance monitoring and optimization.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and different stakeholders.
- Consistently think outside the box to drive continuous improvement and differentiation, proactively identify opportunities for innovation, and take initiative to generate and implement new ideas.
Basic Requirements
- M.Sc. or PHD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field
- 7+ years hands-on experience in computer vision algorithms development and deployment.
- Preferred: Experience with state-of-the-art tech like VLM, foundation modules etc.
- Ability to initiate and lead machine learning projects end-to-end and work closely with stakeholders.
- Team player, positive, driven, independent and fast learner.
