Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a
Physical Layer Algorithm Engineer to join our highly skilled algorithm team, which is responsible for developing and optimizing all of Gilat's modem algorithms and architecture.
What You Will Do
- Research, design, and implement satellite modem modules and algorithms
- Innovate and explore new ways to optimize the satellite channel
- Responsibility for Proof of Concept (PoC) which requires multidisciplinary skills
- Design algorithms for practical implementation, focusing on optimization and complexity reduction
- Collaborate with system, software, and FPGA engineers to bring your ideas into reality
- Test algorithm performance in the lab and participate in the integration process
- Work as part of a high-innovation team, collaborating with top professionals in the industry
- Contribute to a leading organization at the forefront of the satellite communications revolution
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering – a must
- 2-5 years of experience in physical layer development for communication systems
- Familiarity with signal processing – a must
- MATLAB programming – a must
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new challenges
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, innovative, and proactive
- Independent and capable of taking initiative
- Highly proficient in English
