The Red Hat Software Engineering team is seeking a skilled System Integration Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in integrating and deploying solutions that contribute to infrastructure management and virtualization projects. You will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of various components into enterprise-ready products and solutions, such as virtual machine migration tools for ISVs and OEMs. Your work will require proficiency in a range of technologies and tools that support the needs of our customers and partners.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using technologies like Golang or Python.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate services and projects into complete, functioning solutions.
• Provide support for deploying and maintaining integrated systems in a variety of environments.
• Work with the Quality Engineering (QE) team to ensure that integrated solutions meet quality standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with customers and partners to gather feedback and ensure successful integration.
• Share insights and updates on integration projects through blogs, web postings, and conference presentations.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Strong programming experience with languages like Golang, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift for deploying containerized applications.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization.
• Solid background in Linux operating systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Team collaboration and ability to contribute effectively both individually and within a team.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools for continuous integration.
  
  

The Following Are Considered a Plus

• A record of open-source contributions or active involvement in open-source communities.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for automating tasks and deployments.
• Understanding of CoreOS and its architecture.
