Job Description

• Manage Spark as a Service solution for Data Engineers and Data Scientists
• Provide an in-house infrastructure for data engineers to write their own Python serverless functions and data ingestion pipelines
• Maintain and develop Wix's data execution and orchestration platform using Apache Airflow
• Give best practices and guidance to the entire Data Guild at Wix
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Software Engineer/Data Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in the data world and Python programming
• You’re experienced with cloud computing services and Spark and you have expertise designing, developing and implementing large-scale projects in the cloud
• You have a practical data-driven approach—you use real-life data as the basis for informed decision-making that aligns with our approach to designing and implementing effective solutions
• Bonus points if you’re familiar with Airflow, EMR, Kubernetes, building microservices and APIs or any other big data infrastructure
  
  
  

About The Team

We are Wix’s Data Engineer Guild. We’re responsible for all the data related to performance, stability, and user experience of all the traffic going to Wix sites. We play a central role in providing accurate data to support the performance efforts at Wix by creating and maintaining a modern data infrastructure that anyone at Wix can use, including a data warehouse and tools for reporting, alerting, and A/B testing. We’re one of the most challenging and satisfying Data groups at Wix, with plenty of growth and learning opportunities.
