Job Overview:

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Frenel Imaging, you will play a critical role in shaping the backend architecture of our advanced imaging systems. Your primary responsibility will be implementing and optimizing code across various computing environments, including Nvidia edge computing platforms, local systems, and servers. This role is crucial for enhancing the performance of our deterministic image processing and AI-driven processes, ensuring seamless operation in real-time environments. Additionally, you will be instrumental in integrating sophisticated algorithms into these diverse platforms, driving our product capabilities, and pioneering new technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Engineered and optimized backend systems tailored for advanced image processing and computer vision applications.

Ø Migrate complex algorithms to native and edge platforms, ensuring robust, real-time execution.

Ø Collaborate across teams to seamlessly meld backend solutions with frontend applications, enhancing functionality and user experience.

Ø Develop on cutting-edge platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson, utilizing CUDA for optimal GPU acceleration.

Ø Uphold and advance code quality, ensuring scalability and performance across multiple platforms.

Ø Innovate and architect robust backend structures to support the growing demands of our technology.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Ø Advanced proficiency in C++, C, and Python.

Ø Demonstrable experience with CUDA and executing real-time code efficiently.

Ø Deep understanding of image processing, computer vision, and the unique challenges of real-time system deployments.

Ø Proven track record with NVIDIA Jetson platforms or similar technologies.

Ø Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and autonomy in technical decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ø Comprehensive knowledge of edge computing landscapes and real-time computing frameworks.

Ø gpu utilization/ run time optimizations/ python <-> cpp binding

Ø Experience in the thermal imaging industry

Soft Skills:
