Backend Group Leader
Job Description
Manages the archive team within the VUE backend group. This team is composed of 3 scrum team and is responsible for several key domains in the Vue product. In this position you will hire, develop, and mentor talent, coach and evaluate performance of software development personnel. You will be responsible for the products of this group, including development, verification, training, and support service personnel with customer escalations. Acts as the enabler for the teams, has the responsibility for adoption, success and ongoing improvement of agile development and software development practices. Acts as key liaison with other functions and organizations outside R&D to drive business results. Manage team of 10 FTE
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 7-12 developers, testers and automation engineers
- Focus on challenging development & maintenance activities of in the product areas of Hospital Radiology and Enterprise domain
- Responsible for delivering SW modules and components in the high quality.
- Responsible for supporting service department with product-related customer escalations.
- Promote personal and team development initiatives in the areas of SW Code, Testing and Automation.
- Lead and manage the team day2day activities, responsible on the team delivery with high quality and on time
- Comply and align with software development professionalism standards within the team (processes and methodologies, quality, design, coding and testing).
- Carries out complicated developments and prototyping tasks.
- Deep understanding of the market needs and ability to translate them to implementation requirement while considering the overall solution
- Promote domain knowledge, system thinking and customer understanding in the team
- Promote trust, openness and leverage external capabilities locally and globally
Requirements:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science / software
- 7+ years of experience as a SW engineer
- 3+ years of experience as a manager of engineers
- Experience in leading Agile Development team
- Proven software engineering skills using C++/.Net/C#
- Proven skills in software architecture
- System aspect background/experience in developing enterprise solutions
- System wide skills and relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with English fluency
