About the team

The Ecosystem team’s goal is to connect Firebolt with third-party tools and products. We’re responsible for developing and maintaining drivers and third-party connectors. Our tech stack includes Python, Java, Go, JavaScript and .NET. We develop drivers for all those languages, as well as connectors to tools like Sisense, Tableau and Metabase.

The role

As a Software Engineer on the Ecosystem team your primary role will be to assume ownership of the JDBC driver, as well as contribute to the development and maintenance of other drivers and connectors according to project demands, including ODBC, Python, Go, JavaScript, and .NET.

What you'll do

• Take a key part in Ecosystem team
• Maintain JDBC driver and connectors that are built on top of it
• Play a key role in the design and implementation of ODB driver
• Make technical decisions and create design proposals to support new database features

Minimum qualifications

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of proven experience as a professional developer of production software
• Experience with Java AND C++
• Experience working with databases and understanding of SQL language
• Desire to design and develop database drivers and connectors

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Github Actions
• Experience with ODBC or JDBC connectors
• Experience working with Gradle
• Experience working with ETL/ELT tools
• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs
