About the role:
The DevOps Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the CI/CD processes, with a strong focus on Kubernetes, AWS, and the monitoring of both monolithic and microservice architectures. This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient deployment pipelines. The DevOps Architect will report directly to the VP of Infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes and other relevant tools.
- Architect and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of applications and infrastructure, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the build, release, and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage container orchestration using Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
- Ensure comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting across all systems to detect and address issues proactively.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on DevOps best practices, including automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the infrastructure, applications, and performance bottlenecks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the DevOps processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a DevOps engineer with at least 2 years in an architect role.
- Proven experience as a DevOps 2 years as an Architect or in a similar role.
- Mastery of Kubernetes, including experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker.
- Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation/Terraform.
- Strong understanding of both monolithic and microservices architectures.
- Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
- Excellent scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
