Backend Engineer - Paid Internship

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and talented intern with a strong background in backend development and experience in building and maintaining web applications. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Data Science (DS) and proficiency in Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, Docker, and API integrations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, integrating backend solutions with advanced AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Flask
• Integrate and optimize APIs, including OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini
• Design and manage databases using PostgreSQL
• Implement Docker and Docker Compose for application deployment
• Write and maintain tests using pytest
• Collaborate with front-end developers and data scientists to connect user interfaces with backend models
• Maintain code quality and version control using GitHub

Requirements:

• Strong experience in backend development with Python and Flask
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL for database management
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compose
• Knowledge of API integration and optimization
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, especially pytest
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
