As a Lead Data Scientist at Beamr, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s Machine Learning and Deep Learning initiatives and drive the company AI strategy. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will oversee and take part in project execution and serve as a focal point for engineers working on ML/AI tasks.

Responsibilities

Roadmap Development

  • Collaborate with the CTO and other stakeholders to define the ML/DL roadmap.
  • Identify key ML research areas and prioritize projects based on business impact.
  • Ensure alignment with the company’s overall technology vision.

  • Project Execution

    • Lead and take an active part in ML R&D projects from inception to deployment.
    • Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions.


    Technical Leadership

    • Act as a focal point of knowledge and provide technical guidance to the team.


    Requirements

    • 4+ years of hands-on industry experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in a Computer Vision oriented company.
    • 2+ years of experience in Deep Learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch. 
    • Strong understanding of DL algorithms with proven production experience.
    • Familiarity with GPU optimization & NVIDIA tools (DeepStream, CUDA, NIM, etc.) - a big advantage!
    • Knowledge of ML/DL for video or time series - an advantage. 
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
    • Independent worker with good time-management skills.
    • Ability to methodically define, setup, run, analyze & document experiments. 
    • Excellent spoken and written English.
