About the Role:

Join our rapidly growing Series A startup, leading the way in the circular economy sector. We're looking for a talented ML Developer & Data Engineer to join our team. You'll need to be skilled in machine learning techniques and data pipelines.

In this role, you'll be a key leader in our data team, driving the integration of building ML models and other AI applications and tools, while managing pipelines. You'll lead projects and help shape our data infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

As a ML Developer & Data Engineer at TULU, you will:

  • Design, implement, and support a data warehouse and data pipelines using tools like Bigquery and DBT.
  • Architect data models using SQL and ensure data integrity.
  • Contribute to early decision-making, architecture, design, and technological research.
  • Develop and implement ML models for various applications, including but not limited to predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and anomaly detection.
  • Create data transformation and data ingestion infrastructures.
  • Design, develop, and document automated reports/dashboards using Tableau to address reporting challenges and meet stakeholder information needs.
  • Collaborate with functions to ensure data needs are addressed.
  • Implement and manage AI product development and infrastructure.
  • Practical hands-on experience with ML & DL is an advantage.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or hands-on job experience in data analytics or analytics engineering.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and building scalable, reliable AI infrastructures.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience with data warehousing, business intelligence, and cutting-edge data technologies, including AI and Machine Learning.
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • 2+ years of work experience using Git for version control.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to the world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field.
  • Proficiency in Python, with the ability to effectively use it for data manipulation, analysis, and pipeline development in a large-scale data environment.
  • Ability to understand business logic for data structuring while overcoming technical limitations.
  • Extreme sense of ownership - leading design for new products and initiatives as well as integrating with currently implemented best-practices.
