1.     Job Brief

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to join our expanding data team. The perfect candidate will have a passion for data, a solid technical background, and a desire to learn and advance in the field. As a Junior Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of our data infrastructure and pipelines.

 2. Roles and Responsibilities

- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient data flow. 

- Work with senior data engineers to implement data integration solutions using ETL/ELT processes. 

- Support the development and maintenance of data warehouses and data lakes. 

- Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions. 

- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. 

- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading. 

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of data engineering practices. 

- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and data management. 

3.     Qualifications & Requirements

3.1 Must Have

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Students in their 4th year will also be taken into consideration).

- Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

- Python programming skills.

- Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL/ELT processes.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

3.2 Nice to Have

- Internship or academic project experience in data engineering or related fields.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.

- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
