As a Senior Data Scientist at Nexite, you will spearhead the research, design, and implementation of large-scale ML models with the potential for wide-ranging impact. Your primary focus will be on creating a Foundation Model based on Nexite's extensive data repository, Facilitating both internal features and performance improvements, as well as external applications

Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop innovative ML algorithms tailored to Nexite's specific retail optimization challenges.
  • Design and implement scalable ML models capable of handling massive datasets, leveraging Nexite's proprietary data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams; System, HW, SW, to integrate AI-driven solutions into existing workflows and systems.
  • Continuously explore and experiment with state-of-the-art AI techniques and technologies to enhance predictive accuracy and model performance.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on AI and machine learning.
  • Proven experience working with large-scale datasets (10^10 or more) and building complex ML models, preferably in a commercial setting.
  • Expertise in handling real-world, noisy data and deploying ML solutions in production environments.
  • Background in wireless communications, sensor design, or other physical systems is highly desirable, offering valuable insights into the unique challenges of Nexite's real-world data.
  • Familiarity with Information Theory principles and their application in the context of AI and data science is a plus.
  • Demonstrated passion for research and innovation, with a track record of tackling open-ended problems and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.
