We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our expanding Data & AI team. As a senior data scientist, you will be responsible for working with potentially unstructured data, cleaning, preprocessing, and solving complex problems that may not have textbook solutions.

What you’ll do:

As a senior data scientist in Equinom, you’ll bring your knowledge and expertise to improve existing, as well as design and implement new methodologies to utilize proprietary and public data. to better understand. You will be tasked with predicting grains, legumes, and other crop's processability, functional behavior in food applications, and grading for various end uses.

Requirements:

• B.Sc or higher in Computer science, Engineering, Physics, or other relevant degree
• 5+ years of proven Data Scientist experience, a significant part of it with tabular (non-image or text) data
• 5+ years of Python DS stack (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, SKLearn, etc.)
• Experience with writing and delivering production-grade code.
• Experience working with data “from the wild” – cleaning, preprocessing, etc.
• Strong handle on basic statistics
• Ability to efficiently dive into new topics.
• Familiarity and experience with SQL and NoSQL DBs, cloud environments, source control
• Software best practices (OOP, testing, documentation).

• Experience working in various scientific \ data domains and tackling unsolved problems, preferably in dynamic startup environments.
• Experience in taking tasks from design to production.
• Independent in your day-to-day, raising flags when needed, and delivering timely, high-quality results that integrate into the production pipeline.
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills.
