The Role:

As the Manager of R&D you will participate in hiring, leading, and developing a team of highly skilled and talented people working together in an agile environment, to develop and scale our innovative products.

Job Description:

• You will manage and lead the product development, support and implementation of the product end to end.
• You will be responsible to achieve the product development targets per agreed timeline and budget.
• Accountable for the quality of the technical design and code, including performance.
• Define and enforce best practices, processes & tools.
• You will be working closely with senior management, customers and with global teams to achieve these goals.
• Global projects are another challenge I haven't experienced yet.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of development experience.
• 7+ years of management experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Node.js, Native JavaScript, React.
• 3+ years of experience in development of large, distributed software systems.
• Experience in leading Agile teams and strong expertise with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices.
• Evidence of visionary and decisive leadership with the ability to inspire staff and others across the organization.
• Solid understanding cloud system architecture.
• Deep understanding with building modern web technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in designing a microservices architecture and releasing using continuous deployment.
• B.A/BSc in Computer Science from known university (or equivalent experience from lead technological units).
• Hands on approach with the ability to see the big picture whilst being knowledgeable with the product details.

Responsibilities:

• Build a long-term roadmap and short-term plans towards product delivery. Work in close collaboration with the respected Product Group(s).
• Full responsibility over your product area's technical domain – architecture, integrations, technical governance, methodologies and best practices.
• Full responsibility over your product area delivery, integrations, quality, etc.
• Develop a high performing team of full-stack developers.
• Manage cross organizational activities, initiatives and projects.
• Research and suggest new technologies to improve scale and performance.
• Strong relationship and team management with colleagues, customers, sales, regions, partners, services and product groups.
