GM Israel takes a significant part in transforming traditional cars into software-defined vehicles (SDV)
SDV – ‘Software Defined Vehicle’ is a new group that is developing vehicle intelligence platform whose features and functions are primarily enabled through software. This is a significant part of the ongoing transformation of vehicles from being mainly hardware-based to a software-centric electronic device on wheels. The SDV teams are supporting the definition, design, and development of continuously improving mobility service.
GM SDV team defines Ultifi, an “end-to-end” software architecture designed to facilitate software-driven features and functionality to continually adaptable to consumer wishes, emphasizing security and safety as one of its primary objectives.
What will YOU do:
- Develop solutions utilizing computer vision to support the development of in-vehicle viewing systems.
- Research and develop software tools, infrastructure and automation that affect major automotive features in a global industry leader.
- Design and develop new testing environments on actual automotive hardware.
- Root cause automation infrastructure defects.
- Develop and maintain continuous integration environments utilizing DevOPS solutions.
- Develop web and cloud-based solutions to enhance test result analysis and business insights.
- Improve testing environments by making them more efficient and adding new features.
- Collaborate with various teams to design and test new technologies for GM vehicles.
- May lead a domain, providing guidance and mentorship to several developers.
Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- B.Sc. In computer science, information systems, and any other IT oriented scientific degree or equivalent work experience.
- Over 3 years of experience in software development (backend) with deep understanding of object-oriented development, design and implementation, including industry standard design patterns and methods.
- Practical experience in designing and developing SW - Python preferred.
- High proficiency in Git. Advantage for experience with Jenkins and Docker.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and Continuous Integration
- Excellent spoken and written English.
