We are looking for a Remote Sensing Data Scientist for a very challenging position in Tel Aviv

Responsibilities{{:}}

• Create and aggregate remote sensing datasets and explore the use of Machine Learning tools to solve various remote sensing modeling problems (e.g., land use and land cover, detecting flood water, classification of crops, mapping urban infrastructure etc.).
• Work closely with researchers and engineers who are part of the remote sensing research efforts, including climate and sustainability and urban mapping and directly contribute to the modeling efforts in this domain.
  
  
  

Requirements

Minimal qualifications{{:}}

• 5+ years of experience in remote sensing projects.
• 5+ years experience in data analysis projects in Python.
• Experience working with Google Earth Engine.
• Experience in software development in Python.
• Experience in building data pipelines with Dataflow, Spark or similar tools.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Professional-level English.
  
  
  

Preferred qualifications{{:}}

• Experience with Sentinel, Landsat and other satellite systems.
• Building Machine Learning models for remote sensing or other tasks.
• Experience using machine learning libraries (e.g., sk-learn)
• Experience working with Google Cloud (GCS, BigQuery, Dataflow, Vertex AI)
• Master's or Ph.D degree in relevant field.
